WWF Wrestling Superstars were basically indestructible chunks of rubber with questionable paint jobs and enough weight to take out a sibling at ten paces. LJN’s figures became a huge part of 80s wrestling culture because suddenly Hulk Hogan, Macho Man, André the Giant and the rest of the roster could destroy each other in your bedroom, backyard, or wherever else you abandoned them.

And if you grew up with these things, there is another sound permanently burned into your memory: the lawnmower finding one you forgot in the grass. That awful THUNK-THUNK-THUNK followed by a parent yelling and someone running outside to see which wrestler just lost a career-ending match against a Briggs & Stratton.

They were heavy, barely moved, hurt like hell when thrown at you… and somehow they were absolutely perfect.
