I have a bit of an ongoing argument with plushies. In my opinion, they are adorable little dust magnets that quietly multiply when no one is looking. I like to pretend mine are somehow different — not plushies, obviously, but collectible pillows or puppets with a purpose. It’s a very solid system, and I will not be taking questions.

The truth is, this page exists because even I can’t deny how much nostalgia and personality these fuzzy weirdos carry. My daughter loves plushies, and when I say loves them, I mean she has an entire wall full that could probably qualify as its own ecosystem. So while I may tease, fib a little, and insist mine “don’t count,” there’s no denying that plush characters have a huge place in our world. They’re soft, goofy, comforting, and somehow manage to be both toys and full-blown memory triggers at the same time.

For me, this collection is less about being a “plush person” and more about all the characters and franchises that came with them — the ones that lived in toy boxes, on beds, on shelves, and in Saturday morning cartoons. Some were cuddly, some were bizarre, some were more puppet than plush if you ask me, and all of them carved out their own place in 80s and 90s nostalgia. So yes, I will continue to lovingly mock plushies while also giving them an entire section on my website… because apparently that is who I am now.
