M.A.S.K. hit TV in 1985 and was basically everything great about 80s cartoons thrown into a blender: secret agents, ridiculous masks, vehicles that transformed into weapons, and enough explosions to keep any kid glued to the screen.
Matt Trakker and his team battled V.E.N.O.M. using specialized masks and some of the coolest transforming vehicles ever put in a toy aisle. And really, that was the magic of it — the cartoon was fun, but the toys made you want to recreate every chase, battle and transformation on the living-room floor.
It was loud, over-the-top, completely unnecessary… and absolutely perfect.
