Horror-Fi launched at the Nepean Sportsplex in June 2026 as a dedicated horror-and-sci-fi convention with vendors, artists, collectibles, guests and fandom groups. It was in fact the event’s first year. For a brand-new convention, it was a really fun start. Horror and sci-fi deserve their own weird little gathering place, and I hope this one gets the chance to grow. There was enough to explore without it feeling overwhelmingly huge — and obviously I support any event where creepy collectibles are considered perfectly normal purchases.
