The Optimist Club of Lancaster’s Haunted Drive-Thru ended up changing more for me than I ever expected.I participated in 2022, 2023 and 2025, creating displays for families to experience from their vehicles. In 2022, my display won Best Display, but what stuck with me more than the award was how welcoming everyone was. I saw a group of people putting real effort into giving the community something fun, and eventually decided that joining the Optimist Club was a pretty great way for me to give something back too.So technically, Halloween got me into community service. That tracks.
