I’m so excited to attend my first Osheaga music festival in Montreal in ONE WEEK!
With the festival fast approaching, that means I’m getting down to the wire on making sure I’m well packed and prepared. Not only does this mean with my outfits, but with what I’m bringing with me to the festival itself. The organizers of Osheaga have a list items that are allowed and not allowed in the festival grounds. To help you out even further, here’s a list of the items I will be bringing with me throughout the weekend.
The bag I’m bringing is from from MMS Design Studio! It is a black, “faux” leather backpack. It’s not too bulky that it will be hard to carry or get in the way of other festival go-ers. But surprisingly, can fit a lot of items!
REUSABLE WATER BOTTLE
At the festival itself you can purchase a bottle of water if you’re in need for some h2o but buying a bottle can be expensive with the markups and not very environmentally friendly. In my festival bag I’ll be packing my clear water bottle to stay hydrated and refill at the stations throughout the day’s activities.
Mother nature is unpredictable!
Keeping a rain poncho in your bag is a great way to protect your festival outfits from getting soaked if the weather decides to get wet. Also, it serves as a double function to sit on when the weather is nice.
Like I said before, the weather is unpredictable! But keeping some sunscreen in your bag is a MUST! Did you know the sun can be damaging to your skin even when it’s cloudy? Slap on SPF every two hours to make sure you’re not feeling the burn.
Pretty self explanatory. Bonus points if it has SPF in it too.
MONEY MONEY MONEY
It’s always a good idea to keep some cash on you. Those who are travelling to Canada to attend the festival, make sure you convert your cash to Canadian dollars. My rule of thumb is to keep at least $20 on you. This is good just in case there is an emergency or if debit/credit machines stop working. You never know when technical difficulties like this may arise so better safe than sorry!
Ok hear me out here.
You’re at a festival for hours and it gets HOT and SWEATY.
In my bag I’ll be taking this roll on ball of deodorant from Secret.
PLASTIC ZIPLOC BAG
Just like I said before, Mother Nature can be unpredictable (and water soakers from performances are known to happen)! Protect your phone and your valuables from getting destroyed by putting them in a plastic Ziploc bag.
BANDAIDS or FIRST AID KIT
Always good to be prepared for any cuts and scraps!
HAND SANITIZER/ WET WIPES
ROLL OF TOILET PAPER
The washrooms at Osheaga are notorious for running out of toilet paper! Prevent yourself from being stuck in this…well…unfortunate situation by keeping a roll in your bag.
Am I forgetting anything on this list? Let me know in the comment down below!
And for those attending Osheaga music festival next weekend, I hope you all have a fun and safe time!!
