breakfast ideas

When you’re always on the go, breakfast is the last thing on your list of priorities! But eating breakfast is so important to make sure you don’t go…well…hangry.  That is why I’ve compiled a list of my top four easy breakfast ideas that are both delicious and filling.

Let’s begin!

Hash Brown Ham and Cheese Egg Cups

This is a recipe from “Today’s Creative Life“.This is such a yummy and easy recipe to make sure you are fuelled for a busy day. These hash brown ham and cheese egg cups are so delicious. You can even add different veggies or spices to different “cups” to jazz them up. The best part, you can cook these in advanced and then freeze them for the week.

Iced Coffee Protein Smoothie
This is currently my go-to breakfast! I pre-blend mine the night before, so I can quickly grab it before leaving the house for work. It tastes exactly like an iced frappe but keeps me full like I ate a massive breakfast.

Easy Overnight Oats

The key to an easy breakfast is pre-making them the night before! These overnight oats are simple to make, versatile, but also portable so you can take them to work or school with you if needed.  Yumna from the FeelGoodFoodie has an excellent post with different overnight oat recipes to suit your taste buds (my personal favourite is the Peanut Butter and Jelly overnight oat recipe — soooo yummy).

DIY Starbucks Protein Bento Box

Save yourself the $10 and make your own protein bento box inspired by Starbucks. Number 2 Pencil breaks down the items that are in a bento box so you can make your own! Another plus about this recipe, you can buy the items in bulk to make a bunch of boxes for a few weeks!
